Harrisburg – Invited by Republican Leader Bryan Cutler, PHC4 recently spent time at the Capitol sharing the value of their reporting with members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Representative Cutler also serves as a member of PHC4’s Council.
When considering PHC4’s value proposition, Representative Cutler states, “As Pennsylvanians continue to deal with rising costs in all aspects of life, PHC4’s mission helps Pennsylvanians find affordable healthcare through transparency, accurate data, and increasing competition in the healthcare marketplace. When healthcare is more affordable, living in Pennsylvania is more affordable, and PHC4’s work helps make Pennsylvania a great place to live, work, and raise a family.”
PHC4 offers education to stakeholders across the Commonwealth, as a part of serving our mission. At this recent event, PHC4 displayed how our reports support informed decisions and are trusted, fact-based resources in examining health care in the Commonwealth. When considering the opportunity, Barry D. Buckingham, PHC4’s Executive Director, believes it’s a part of our organization’s responsibility to extend this insight. “By modeling our reporting with a focus on informing decisions, we are better equipping our elected officials in setting priorities for health care in PA,” stated Buckingham.
PHC4 welcomes interested groups to reach out and learn more about all that PHC4 has to offer to stakeholders across the Commonwealth. We believe each resident of PA deserves a nonpartisan, fact-based data source when seeking information regarding health care. As part of our mission, we are proud to provide reporting and data in support of Pennsylvanians.
PHC4 is an independent council formed under Pennsylvania statute (Act 89 of 1986, as amended by Act 15 of 2020) in order to address rapidly growing health care costs. PHC4 continues to produce comparative information about the most efficient and effective health care to individual consumers and group purchasers of health services. In addition, PHC4 produces information used to identify opportunities to contain costs and improve the quality of care delivered.
